OffsetOnDemand is a totally new system that provides a competitive edge with ultra-short runs and quick turnaround work while maintaining the high printing quality and the high productivity of offset printing. Moreover, the system shortens makeready times, slashes paper waste, and condenses all printing processes.
In the Main Theater, Komori will present demonstrations of OffsetOnDemand running on the new Lithrone G40P (eight-color 40-inch perfector with H-UV) and the Lithrone
S26 (four-color 26-inch press with H-UV). Fully finished products will be produced during this demonstration by means of the ultra-fast KHS-AI-driven start-up that reaches stable densities within 20 sheets. The printed work that has been instantly dried by H-UV will be passed immediately to postpress for cutting, folding and saddle-stitching. Color management is a vital element in OffsetOnDemand, and both presses will be linked to the Komori Color Management System.
The new Lithrone G40P is equipped with many new systems and devices, including the new A-APC (Asynchronous Automatic Plate-changing), a fully automatic plate-changer that changes all plates simultaneously, and the PQA-S, which will inspect print quality and control densities on both sides of the sheets. On the operation console there is the PDC-SX and the large-scale KID.

2The four-color Lithrone G40, which debuted in April 2011, and the four-color Enthrone 26P, which debuts at this IGAS, are easy-to-use machines that offer high quality and outstanding performance.
of the Komori Lithrone line since its debut in 2002 — has been transformed into the Lithrone G40. Equipped with the KHS-AI integrated control system as a standard specification, the Lithrone G40 meets today’s needs for fast turnaround times, production of many different printed items, short runs, and low cost. With stable productivity at the maximum printing speed of 16,500 sheets per hour, this press is an ultra-high performance machine that fulfills tomorrow's demands for automation and standardization. The model at this show will be equipped with Semi-APC.
The well-known Enthrone Series of presses, which adhere to the Komori tradition of high print quality and advanced technology, is now available as a perfector press. This new Enthrone is based on a cylinder arrangement of double-size impression and transfer cylinders and offers competence with a wide range of printed items and short runs as well as very stable performance. In addition, the Enthrone 26P provides an operator-side stepless construction and a compact design that accommodates confined installation spaces. Equipped with the PDC-SE, the capability of this nimble perfector is certain to impress.
Service that Satisfies Our Customers Komori service is taking a variety of initiatives to ensure customers receive service that is high in quality and consistent. One of these is the introduction of a training system for service representatives. This is part of efforts to improve the technical abilities of each individual service representative. Komori aims to ensure that service representatives are trusted and appreciated by our customers.
Komori Service will exhibit a large number of retrofittable products developed from the perspective of five points – increased productivity, higher print quality, stable machine performance, prevention of damage, and reduced paper waste. In addition to preventive maintenance, explanations of parts and service support will also be provided. This exhibition will also see the introduction of Komori-brand printing materials. Presentations will also be made via K-Live Station. By all means, please stop by.

At Komori, ‘green’ symbolizes the coexistence of people, the environment, and nature. A mutually beneficial balance among these three elements ensures a bright future — this is the thinking behind Komori’s green concept. Based on this green concept, Komori strives for balance among people, the environment and machines and also develops eco-friendly printing presses. Panels that illustrate Komori’s engagement with the environment by showing the actual status of the production environment and products will be shown.
The Three Pillars of the Green Concept
The green concept has three pillars: clean (prevention of pollution),saving (conservation of resources) and safety. By implementing these three pillars, Komori has shaped the printing press of the future. Indeed, Komori has developed a printing press that reduces paper waste, saves energy, improves the work environment and reduces noise.
Clean: Preventing pollution
For the printing process
Reduced use of consumables and lubricants
For the plant environment
Saving: Resource conservation
For energy
Reduced power consumption (reduced CO2 emissions)
For printing waste
Reduced paper and ink consumption
Safety
For pressroom workers
Ergonomic press design
Press preventive maintenance
Enhanced self diagnostic functions
Komori’s System Series web offset presses, which hold a solid share of the Japanese market, will be introduced by videos that document case studies of users who have installed these presses. In addition, the inline presses for packaging that are produced by Komori-Chambon in France will also be presented. Presentations will also be made via K-Live Station.
