Komori Web Presses, Security Printing and New Business Solutions


In the Komori stand, the web offset and Komori-Chambon corner, the currency printing press corner, the CMS/DoNet corner and the Print Gallery were set up as Komori Web Presses, Security Printing and New Business Solutions and were a huge success, with many visitors coming to these corners every day.

Demonstration@K-Live Station
A live studio called K-Live Station was set up in a corner of the Komori stand at IGAS 2011, and a program named K-Live Station IGAS 2011 Special was put on in the style of a live broadcast of three live demonstrations – service, web offset presses, and CMS (Color Management System).

Press Demonstrations

At IGAS 2011, Komori exhibited five sheetfed offset presses, including four new products. During the show, demonstrations on the five exhibit machines according to their objective/application were presented on the basis of three solutions – ‘Innovative OffsetOnDemand Solutions,’ ‘Innovative H-UV Pack-Print Solutions,’ and ‘Efficient and Multi-Flex Print Solutions.’ These demonstrations introduced the outstanding performance and effectiveness of these machines, including the latest technologies that meet a variety of demands in the printing industry. The demonstrations on each machine were run four times a day (three times on the final day), meaning a total of 115 live demonstrations were run over the six days of the exhibition. In addition, simultaneous interpretation (in English and Chinese) using earphone guides was offered for overseas visitors for the ‘Innovative OffsetOnDemand Solutions’ and ‘Innovative H-UV Pack-Print Solutions’ demonstrations.

Komori Stand



Exhibiting in the largest stand in East Hall 3 at IGAS 2011 and holding high its main theme – ‘Komori Solutions for Efficient Print Production’ – Komori rolled out its solutions in zones using six subthemes. Specific ideas to answer real user needs were presented and provided to customers through the live demonstrations on the five sheetfed presses on exhibit and a wide variety of product and panel displays.

Opening Ceremony

The opening ceremony took place at 9:30 a.m. on September 16th, the first day of the exhibition, in front of the Main Gate of the North Concourse of Tokyo Big Sight with representatives of Japanese and overseas printing-related bodies in attendance.

The second International Printing Technology Exhibition of China (Guangdong) – PRINT CHINA 2011 – was held for five days from April 9 to 13, 2011 at the Guangdong Modern International Exhibition Center in Dongguan Municipality, Guangdong Province. PRINT CHINA is the sister exhibition of CHINA PRINT (Beijing International Printing Technology Exhibition), which is held in Beijing; PRINT CHINA is a general printing industry exhibition that is held once every four years since 2007, and this second PRINT CHINA was held this time on the themes of “ecology, high efficiency and digitalization".

Although it was very cold, the weather was fine for the two-day “New Product Release / OffsetOnDemand Open House” held February 3-4, 2011 at the Komori Graphic Technology Center (KGC) in Komori’s Tsukuba Plant. This open house featured OffsetOnDemand demonstrations for extremely short runs with tight delivery deadlines on two Komori presses: the Lithrone G40 (GL-440), making its worldwide debut of the as the new upgraded model grade in the Lithrone Series, and a Lithrone S26 (LS-426). Both machines were equipped with the Hybrid UV (H-UV) system and the KHS-AI integrated control system.
